A little about Juliet...
I was born and bred in the North East, originally from Newcastle upon Tyne and then married life took me to the stunning Northumbrian countryside.
When I was younger, I started making all my own clothes so that I could choose the fabric and style that I wanted, from here I started my love affair for the world of textiles.
I worked as a paediatric nurse throughout my career and loved every second of it, however, I never lost the excitement that a needle and thread can bring.
I then decided to pursue my passion further and used my holiday to become professionally trained by Merrick and Day. That was it, I fell head over heels in love with the world of interiors, so I decided to swap my nursing needle for a sewing one, hence, Juliet Soft Furnishings was born!
Following on from this, I attended the Victoria Hammond Academy in Hertfordshire and have been awarded a 'Diploma in Professional Curtain Making and Soft Furnishings'. This involves being trained in the design and making of window dressings and soft furnishings.
I work with clients so that my work reflects their own individuality and the character behind the house or building. Offering such a large range of fabric means that creating that perfect look is so enjoyable and flexible.
A little extra about me, I play the saxophone, make a mean flapjack and never (and I mean never) turn down a cup of tea...especially Yorkshire Tea!
